Helen Louise Keaton, 88, Phillips Personnel Care facility on Browns Ridge Road Lerona, formerly of Burgess Street in Princeton died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at her residence. Born December 2, 1923 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Blaine Underwood and Willie Florida Phillips Underwood. Helen was a graduate of Athens High School. She retired from the Maidenform Corporation in Princeton as an operator with 40 years of service, and was also a member of the ILGWU. While her health permitted, she attended Lilly Grove Baptist Church in Princeton where she and her late husband were charter members. For many years, Helen served as a volunteer for Princeton Community Hospital and enjoyed traveling whenever she could go.
IN addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Burke Keaton, a daughter in law, Sheila Keaton and her three siblings; Harless Underwood, Danise Smith and Dixie Neal. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted son, Mike Keaton of Ada, Two grandsons, Aaron Keaton & wife Leisel of Nashville, Jason Keaton & wife Phyllis of Cobb. Step grandson, Sam Lambert & wife Victoria of Crossville. 2 Great -Grandchildren, 4 Step Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 21, 2012 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton. Burial will follow in the Athens Cemetery in Athens. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Family & Friends will serve as pallbearers. The Keaton family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
