William H. ¯Bill¯ Belcher, 77, of 1567 Old Athens Road, Princeton, departed this life early Saturday morning, January 13, 2007, at the Princeton Community Hospital, to meet his Lord and Savior and to be united again with his loving wife Buddie. Born April 10, 1929, at Taloga, OK. He was the son of the late Mason Earl and Dollie Newfelt Belcher. Mr. Belcher was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the U.S. Army and was discharged as a Sergeant. Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. For more than 41 years, Bill served as the Warehouse Manager and Shipping Clerk for Tomchin¯s Furniture Company on Mercer Street in Princeton. Mr. Belcher loved working with his hands, he was gifted with the ability to build and make anything with his hands, he made many wooden swings and picnic tables. Bill was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Anna Lois Carter ¯Buddie¯ Belcher in 2000 and a brother, Glendle Belcher. Robert Belcher & wife Jan of Tazewell VA. A host of Sister in laws, nephews, nieces and cousins A service to celebrate the life of Bill Belcher will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 15, 2007 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Dr. David Dockery and Pastor Sam Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family today from 4 until 6 PM at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be David Land, Sarah Beth Vance, Tommy Lee Vance Jr., Richard Morgan, Bob Carter, Wes Belcher, Roger Thompson and Jon Tedder.
